SecureWith advisor answering client questions during an informal FAQ discussion in Ottawa

Pre-engagement discussion — we prefer clarity over sales language.

Is SecureWith a software product, online course or consumer "secure your life" brand?

No. SecureWith is a professional cybersecurity advisory practice for Canadian businesses. We do not sell a self-serve application, a lifestyle security course, a downloadable toolkit or a consumer subscription promising to "secure your life." The securewithai.life domain reflects our advisory positioning — AI-assisted protection guided by people — not a retail product line.

We deliver authorized consultancy: perimeter assessments, identity programmes, cloud hardening, policy development, awareness training and ongoing retainer advisory. Clients engage us in writing with defined scope. If you are looking for a personal security app or an online course for individuals, we are not that — and we recommend evaluating consumer products on their own merits elsewhere.

Do you offer hacking services, spyware or guarantees against breaches?

No. SecureWith performs defensive advisory work only — assessments, configuration review, policy support and guidance — with the client's written authorization. We do not sell hacking services, exploit development for unauthorized use, spyware, stalkerware or surveillance of individuals. We do not access systems, accounts or data without explicit client consent and documented scope.

No security advisor can honestly guarantee that you will never experience a breach, data loss or security incident. Anyone who makes that promise is misleading you. Our work reduces and manages risk through clearer perimeter controls, improved identity hygiene, practical policies and incident readiness. We are a professional services firm, not an insurance policy.

How do advisors use AI in your engagements?

AI tools help us analyse configuration exports, correlate findings across assessments, flag permission anomalies and draft initial policy language faster than manual review alone. This accelerates the mechanical parts of advisory work so advisors can spend more time on judgment, client communication and prioritization.

Every AI-generated output is reviewed, edited and approved by a human advisor before it becomes a client deliverable. We do not automate security decisions, send raw model output to clients or replace advisor accountability with algorithms. If an AI tool produces an error — and they can — the advisor catches it before it affects your environment.

What does a typical engagement cost in Canadian dollars?

Pricing depends on scope, environment complexity and advisor hours required. As indicative ranges: a perimeter security assessment typically starts around C$3,800. Identity programmes, cloud hardening projects and PIPEDA alignment engagements range from C$2,800 to C$18,000 depending on depth. Awareness programmes run C$2,800 to C$9,500 per cycle. Ongoing advisory retainers range from approximately C$2,400 to C$8,500 per month.

All figures are CAD, exclusive of applicable taxes. We provide a written scope document before work begins. See our Services page for per-discipline ranges and contact us for a perimeter review conversation.

Which platforms and tools do you support?

We work with the platforms Canadian SMEs actually use — primarily Microsoft 365 and Azure, Google Workspace, common SaaS business tools and hybrid on-premises environments. We integrate with your existing licences rather than requiring migration to a specific vendor. Our value is in assessment methodology, configuration guidance and advisor judgment — not reselling software seats.

If your tooling has significant gaps, we will say so honestly and can support evaluation. We remain vendor-neutral in our advisory role and do not accept referral fees that would compromise that neutrality.

How do you handle personal information under PIPEDA?

We collect only the personal information necessary to respond to enquiries and perform contracted advisory services. Contact form submissions require active PIPEDA consent via an unchecked checkbox. Client engagement data is governed by services agreements and confidentiality provisions. For full details, see our Privacy Policy. Privacy enquiries: [email protected].

Can you work remotely with clients outside Ottawa?

Yes. Most engagements are delivered remotely with Ottawa-based advisor oversight. On-site sessions are available in the National Capital Region by arrangement. We serve clients across Ontario, Quebec and other provinces. Time zone alignment to Eastern Time is standard; other arrangements can be discussed for retainer clients.

What happens during a perimeter review conversation?

A perimeter review is an initial scoping discussion — not a sales pitch. We ask about your headcount, industry, cloud platforms, recent security concerns and any deadlines such as insurance renewals or client questionnaires. We explain which advisory disciplines might fit and provide indicative pricing ranges. If we are not the right match, we say so and may suggest alternatives. There is no obligation to proceed.

Do you replace our IT provider or MSP?

No. We complement your existing IT support — whether that is an internal administrator, a fractional IT lead or a managed service provider. We focus on security advisory: assessments, policy, identity governance and strategic guidance. Implementation of day-to-day IT tasks typically remains with your existing team, though we can provide hands-on support during hardening projects by agreement.
